The Body as Experience: A seminar aimed at those who work with the expressive realm of the human being
The CreaSur Spring School, held on the 8th, 9th, 15th, and 16th of the year 2008 at the Centro Español de Concepción, conducted two seminars: Theatrical Pedagogy and Energy – Life.
The scenic training instance organized and certified by the CreaSur Regional Center for Artistic Education had the sponsorship of the Theater Pedagogues Network of the University of Chile (REDPTUC) and the Centro Español.
The educational process was led by the Spanish teacher Lola Poveda and continued the training development initiated in 2007 in the city of Concepción.
The Theatrical Pedagogy module was the starting point of the seminar and included the following contents: theater as language: action, character, and conflict, theater and creativity.
Likewise, the module contemplated the development and analysis of creative factors: fluidity, flexibility, originality, and elaboration through improvisations and given materials.
On the other hand, the Energy – Life seminar aimed to introduce its participants to the Conscious System for the Movement Technique by Fedora Aberastury. Its person-to-person system puts in contact, in a simple, practical, and everyday way.
This technique works directly with the energy emitted by the body, its source, centers, and their channels, organically.
The seminars were carried out in an integrated manner and had the participation of educators, psychologists, actors, social animators, and anyone interested in Theater as a creative language.
