Territorial approach: Launching of the diploma course “Collaborative Methodologies for Heritage Projects with a Critical Approach”
During this Thursday, September 14, will begin the diploma course “Territorial Approach: Launching of the diploma course “Collaborative Methodologies for Heritage Projects with a Critical Approach”, an academic training instance with a territorial approach to be developed in the Biobío region.
The training process provided by OTEC Cultura y Territorio, accredited by NCh#2728, sponsored by the Master in Architectural Heritage Intervention MIPA, University of Chile and financed by the Regional Government of Biobío, will consist of 128 hours distributed in 8 work modules and each of these will have 16 hours of work, ending on December 28 this year.
During the program, students will explore several key areas for the development and management of heritage projects, highlighting the revaluation of heritage as a regional asset. In addition, participatory methodologies will be implemented to promote the empowerment of each community involved.
“It is a high quality training program that emerges from a local territorial vision with international standards. The aim is to promote local projects, which will be supervised by the entire teaching staff and which will have a future impact on the communes,” said Dr. Rock, director of the program.
The program is free of charge and will benefit public service officials, heritage project managers, cultural managers, academics, civil servants, and museum directors.
Along the same lines, the program will combine distance learning through an online platform, giving participants the flexibility to access content and participate in activities from any location. Students will be notified in advance of on-site activities.
During these face-to-face instances, participants will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in real environments, interacting with experts, and facing practical challenges related to heritage projects in the territory.
