The Creasur Cultural Center and the Regional Government of Biobío cordially invite you to the IV Congress on International and Interdisciplinary Cultural Heritage.

Concepción, Región del Biobío, Chile. Taking place from October 16 to 20 of this year, the fourth edition of the Congress on International and Interdisciplinary Cultural Heritage will convene in Concepción, Biobío Region, Chile, generously supported and funded by the Regional Government of Biobío. Under the theme of “Industrial Heritage, Social Issues, and Challenges for the New Governance,” this conference aims to unite specialists, researchers, and professionals in the heritage field worldwide. Through interdisciplinary approaches, the event will foster reflection and critical analysis of cultural and industrial assets.
This initiative is part of the programme: “International Strategies for the Transformation of Industrial Heritage into Regional Assets”, allocated through the National Resources Fund (FNDR) from the Regional Government of Biobío.
During the conference knowledge and experiences will be shared through keynote speeches, thematic tables and presentations of scientific works. Additionally, training sessions and technical visits to relevant heritage sites in the region will be conducted to enrich the debate and strengthen collaboration among participants.
The timetable for the seminar will be published on Monday 28 August this year, once the papers selected for presentation have been announced. For that task, the scientific committee in charge will be composed, among other academics, of Dr. María Esperanza Rock, Dr(c). Andrés Torres, Dr. Marion Steiner, Dr. Daniel Stewart, Dr. Lorenzo Berg, Dr. Marina Mantilla y la Dr. Dr. Elis Angelo, all experts in relevant matters. The invitation is extended to all actors involved in the development of knowledge in the areas of heritage, territory and culture, as well as to society and academia in general.
