Creasur and GORE Biobío invite to the IV Congress of International and Interdisciplinary Cultural Heritage

The International and Interdisciplinary Cultural Heritage Congress, historically recognized for promoting reflection and criticism of cultural heritage from interdisciplinary perspectives, has the honor of inviting researchers, academics, professionals, and experts in the field of cultural heritage to participate in its fourth edition. This important event will take place from October 16th to 20th of the current year at the facilities of the Biobío Regional Government, with its endorsement and funding.

This event aims to promote a comprehensive view of cultural heritage, framed in the understanding of the past from the present and with the purpose of projecting an introspective future in harmony with human cultural diversity. The congress will focus on the theme “Industrial Heritage, Social Issues, and Challenges for New Governance.”

The central theme will address current issues related to industrial heritage, exploring its relationship with society and the new paradigms of governance. The objective is to foster the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices among researchers, professionals, and relevant actors in the field of cultural heritage and its relationship with industry, taking into account its social, economic, and environmental impact.

This meeting will be a unique opportunity to share and discuss recent research, innovative projects, and public policies related to industrial heritage and its connection with society. Additionally, it will provide a conducive space for intercultural dialogue and critical reflection, aiming to promote the construction of new decolonial perspectives.

The conference will feature the participation of renowned national and international experts in the field of cultural heritage, who will share their knowledge and experiences through keynote speeches, thematic panels, and presentations of scientific papers. Additionally, training sessions and technical visits to relevant heritage sites in the region will be conducted to enrich the debate and strengthen collaboration among participants.
